Z. with blind embossed central arabesques, using the old covers (dated "1204" (=1789); spine renewed; capitals missing, somewhat rubbed and bumped).
Slightly crowded but thoroughly clean Nastal'iq. In the colophon the name of Sayyid Muhammad Tahir is given as the scribe. Numerous Persian comments in the margins, some written diagonally, some all the way around. Probably in the course of the rebinding, 8 sheets each pre- and post-bound. These with entries by various scribes in Arabic and Persian with poems, recipes, notes and entries from family life. -
Slightly browned, faintly damp-stained, occasionally slightly finger-stained, only slight ink smearing, a little worn in the front corner, small tears in the back. Worm tunnel in the lower margin (outside the text), only a few sheets with small. Edge tears (1 slightly stronger).
